Undergraduate Program
The Bachelor’s Program in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation offers an interdisciplinary education aimed at equipping individuals with fundamental and clinical-level knowledge, skills, and professional competencies to enhance quality of life within the field of health sciences. The program is delivered within the relevant faculty and department and is structured in alignment with the university’s mission of education, research, and community service. The educational process, supported by clinical practice, laboratory work, and field experiences, aims to develop students’ professional practice competencies and promote the adoption of evidence-based approaches.
Graduate Program
The Master’s Program in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation offers postgraduate education aimed at providing advanced academic knowledge, research skills, and specialization competencies in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The program is structured in line with the university’s mission focused on research and scientific production, and it aims to enable students to conduct original research, develop competence in scientific publication, and enhance expert-level assessment and intervention skills in clinical practice. Thesis studies and academic activities carried out within the program are conducted in accordance with national and international scientific standards.
As the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Cyprus Aydın University, our primary goal is to educate physiotherapists who possess strong professional awareness, adhere to ethical values, and embrace scientific and evidence-based practices.
In line with this vision, our educational program is structured with an approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical practice and is delivered by our expert academic staff in modern classroom and laboratory environments. We aim for our students to graduate not only with professional knowledge and skills, but also with competencies in critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
Our department is committed to training physiotherapists who can adapt to evolving healthcare needs, maintain a multidisciplinary perspective, and contribute value to society. Along this journey, we continue to create, grow, and contribute to our profession together with our students.
The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program offers a scientifically grounded educational approach focused on assessing, enhancing, and maintaining individuals’ movement and functional capacity. Through its structure that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, the program aims to develop students’ professional competencies, foster a strong sense of ethical responsibility, and promote the adoption of evidence-based practice.
The educational process is supported by clinical observation, field applications, and research activities, encouraging students to adapt to interdisciplinary teamwork and to develop effective intervention strategies tailored to the needs of diverse individuals and communities. Distinctive features of the program include a practice-oriented education model, the use of technological assessment and measurement methods, and a quality assurance approach based on continuous improvement.
The primary aim of the program is to educate graduates with a high level of professional knowledge, skills, and ethical responsibility in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. In line with this aim, the objectives of the program are as follows:
• To provide a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge based on basic and clinical sciences,
• To develop skills in clinical assessment and treatment planning,
• To promote the adoption of evidence-based practice,
• To cultivate individuals who adhere to ethical principles and demonstrate professional responsibility,
• To train healthcare professionals capable of effective interdisciplinary teamwork,
• To develop competence in conducting academic research and interpreting scientific data.
These objectives have been determined in alignment with the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF-HE) and the strategic goals of the university.

Cyprus Aydın University admits Turkish citizens who have graduated from high schools or equivalent institutions through the centralized entrance examination administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
International students who have graduated from high schools or equivalent institutions are eligible to apply directly to CAU, provided they meet the admission criteria. These criteria include scores from internationally recognized examinations (e.g., SAT, GCE, IB) or university entrance examinations from certain countries.

The Career Development Center of Cyprus Aydın University provides career guidance, referrals to employment and internship opportunities, and professional development workshops to support students of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Program in making a strong start to their professional lives. The Center delivers counseling and training programs aimed at helping students acquire the professional and career-related skills required in today’s competitive job market and to build strong professional networks.
Program graduates can pursue careers in healthcare institutions, rehabilitation centers, private clinics, sports and performance centers, community health units, and academic settings. In addition, they have opportunities to pursue academic career pathways through postgraduate education and research.
Communication with graduates and alumni processes are maintained through the Alumni and Members Association operating within the university.
The Association aims to establish a strong communication network among graduates and to ensure the sustainability of ties with the university.
Graduates’ career development is supported through mentorship programs, professional collaborations, and various social and cultural activities.
Alumni achievements and professional experiences are monitored through platforms that enable the sharing of knowledge and experience, thereby contributing to the program’s continuous improvement processes.

Multidisciplinary Approach to Diabetes: Diabetes Awareness from the Perspectives of Nursing and Physiotherapy
Future healthcare professionals highlighted the importance of awareness in the fight against diabetes by bringing their knowledge and energy to the forefront.
Students from the Departments of Nursing and Physiotherapy addressed diabetes from a multidisciplinary perspective, offering participants an educational experience filled with informative presentations, interactive discussions, and healthy lifestyle recommendations.
Exercise for Health Festival 2
Hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Cyprus Aydın University, the “Exercise for Health Festival 2” was carried out with active participation and practical presentations by students. The event emphasized the positive effects of physical activity on health and provided participants with a dynamic and educational experience through awareness-raising activities and interactive practices.
