General Information
The Master’s Program in Educational Management with Thesis is a graduate program offered by the Institute of Graduate Education and Research at Cyprus Aydın University. The program is taught in Turkish and is designed to last two academic years, covering coursework and thesis stages.

Message from the Program Director
The Thesis-Based Master’s Program in Educational Management, conducted within the Graduate Education and Research Institute of Cyprus Aydın University, aims to train experts who can analyze the management and leadership processes of educational institutions based on scientific principles, think critically, and generate solutions. It is widely accepted that the quality of today’s education systems is directly related to effective management practices and strong leadership; accordingly, our program emphasizes the holistic development of theoretical knowledge alongside research and practical skills.
During the program, students are provided with a comprehensive academic foundation in areas such as educational management, organizational behavior, educational policies, strategic planning, auditing, and quality assurance. Analytical thinking and research competencies are supported through scientific research methods and thesis work. The goal is for students to be able to evaluate the managerial problems encountered in educational institutions with data-based approaches and develop sustainable solutions.
Our department embraces the principles of continuous improvement and quality assurance; teaching and learning processes are regularly reviewed in line with current scientific approaches. The goal is to train experts who can take on leadership roles in the field of education, are committed to ethical values, and have high academic productivity.

Program Description
The Master’s Program in Educational Administration with Thesis is conducted in line with a postgraduate education approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with scientific research skills related to the management, leadership, and policy processes of educational institutions. The program aims to train students to become experts who can analyze educational organizations in a multidimensional way, make data-driven decisions, and develop sustainable solutions to managerial problems.

Purpose and Objectives
The primary purpose of the Master’s Degree Program in Educational Administration with Thesis is to train experts and researchers who can evaluate the management and leadership processes of educational institutions based on scientific principles, make research-based decisions, and contribute to the development of education systems. The program is structured in line with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ) Level 7 qualifications and the university’s quality-focused educational goals.
In this regard, the objectives of the program are as follows:

• Developing skills in designing scientific research, collecting data, analyzing it, and reporting findings in an academic manner,
• Providing managerial competencies to effectively carry out planning, organizing, monitoring, and evaluation processes in educational institutions,

• Developing professional ethics, social responsibility, and lifelong learning awareness,
• Ensuring scientific competence to continue academic work at the graduate and doctoral levels.
In line with these objectives, graduates are expected to become qualified individuals who can take on managerial roles in educational institutions and contribute to the field scientifically.

The Master’s Degree Program in Education Management with Thesis is conducted within the Graduate Education and Research Institute of Cyprus Aydın University and is a graduate program approved by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK). The program is conducted in accordance with the current national higher education legislation and quality assurance principles.
The education and training processes are regularly monitored, evaluated, and continuously improved within the scope of the university’s internal quality assurance system. Admission Requirements
The application and admission procedures for the Master’s Degree Program in Educational Management with Thesis are conducted in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Institute of Graduate Education and Research at Cyprus Aydın University and in line with the current higher education legislation.
Applicants to the program must hold a bachelor’s degree. Applicants’ academic performance, undergraduate grade point averages, and relevant application documents are evaluated by the institute; scientific evaluation, interviews, or additional criteria may be applied when deemed necessary. Foreign language proficiency and other requirements are determined in accordance with relevant legislation and institute decisions.

Admission, Recognition, and Transfers
Admission, recognition, and transfer procedures in the Master’s Degree Program with Thesis in Education Management are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Cyprus Aydın University Graduate Education and Research Institute and the applicable higher education regulations.
Applications for lateral transfers from graduate programs at other higher education institutions are evaluated by the relevant academic boards, taking into account the applicant’s academic background, course content, and academic performance. In inter-program transfers and equivalency procedures, the content and credit compatibility of previously taken courses are taken into account; exemptions may be granted for courses deemed appropriate.
Procedures related to the recognition of prior learning are evaluated based on documentation and finalized within the framework of relevant legislation. All application and evaluation processes are conducted in accordance with the principles of transparency and academic equivalence.
